Manchester United welcomes Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal all weekend but officially ended their hopes of finishing in the top four. Emotional Scott McTominay claimed United are now playing for “pride” in the four games remaining after that defeat.
United kept Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton and Crystal Palace to play this season before Eric ten Hag arrived at the club.
Rangnick’s side are currently sixth in the Premier League and it seems reluctantly securing the Europa League is the goal now.
In terms of team news, Harry Maguire and Jadon Sancho have been excluded from the match, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also absent. Fred, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba (every calf) and Luke Shaw (ankle) are still out. Cavani will return to training on Friday.
