New England Revolution agrees to transfer Adam Buksa to RC Lens

Foxborough, Mass. The New England Revolution agreed to transfer striker Adam Boksa to Ligue 1 Racing Club des Lenses for an undisclosed fee. Buksa will officially join the RC Lens when the Ligue 1 transition window opens.

Adam Boksa, the revolution’s top scorer in 2022 and during the 2021 Ansar Shield winning campaign, returned to Europe after three seasons in Major League Soccer with the Revolution. The 25-year-old has scored 29 goals and 8 assists in 64 league matches, with six additional goals in the CONCACAF Champions League, MLS Cup and US Open. The Polish native of Krakow earned the Golden Boot of the Revolution with 16 goals during the 2021 season, helping to set a league record with 73 points in the regular season.

In 2022, Boksa scored 11 goals in all competitions, including a seven-game winning streak with a goal, before leaving for international duty in June with the Poland national team. Since arriving in New England prior to the 2020 season, Boksa leads the Major League Soccer with 25 goals from open play (including the playoffs). Boksa’s performance in the hoped-for Qatar 2022 World Cup in New England has helped him score eight appearances for Poland, with five goals, since the start of 2021.
