Tom Hoge loves casinos.
How much does Hoge like casinos? Well, it was the starting point for his appearance on this week’s episode of GOLF’s Subpar, a topic he was more than willing to talk about.
“We all know you love to flip the cards and roll some dice,” Drew Stoltz said. “How far away does the casino have to be from your hotel to be like, ‘No, it’s too far. “
“Maybe a few hours,” Hogg replied. “I would like to say that I am known for that [that] In the past “.
His favorite game? droppings. Although when his legs need a short rest, he will sit at the blackjack table to play through a few hands.
“Just a little change of pace here and there,” Huge said.
In fact, Hoge’s reputation as a casino lover is well known on the PGA Tour. As Colt Nost joked, if there is a casino nearby, as soon as the last hit falls, Hoge is at the gambling table.
“There is no practice then if there is a casino nearby,” Nost joked.
Hoge admitted that his casino habits had slowed with age. Now with his wife by his side on tour every week, he doesn’t head to casinos nearly as frequently.
But that also has to do with stopping the Las Vegas Tour in the past two seasons. With the Asian swing postponed, the tour set up shop in Vegas for weeks on end in the fall. And this access was not Hog any known.
“I’m finally learning, I think,” Huge said. “By the end of those two weeks it’s almost making you physically ill as you walk past a craps table or a blackjack table trying to get on the golf course every day.”
