Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Kiawah Island. Three of the most popular golf courses in the US, and only three “19 holes” better than the splendor of Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club.

Golfweek, part of the USA TODAY Network, continued Friday its annual “Best” series with America’s Top 10 and 19 holes, and Arcadia Bluffs’ Patio Chairs and Adirondacks came in fourth.

Also ranked fourth was “McKee’s Pub and firepit at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort” at the popular golf destination in Bandon, Oregon.

Arcadia Bluffs, whose Bluffs course was once again named the best publicly available golf course in Michigan by Golfweek and number 26 in the country, was established in 1999 and is located approximately 250 miles northwest of Detroit. It also boasts the famous Engineering South course one mile down the road, which opened for play in 2018 and ranks sixth in the state and 94th among the public in the United States.

The famous Adirondack chairs at Arcadia Bluffs allow visitors to sit on the lawn overlooking the 18th green, providing unlimited views of the 3,100 feet of Lake Michigan coastline.

Servers take drink and dessert orders from the lawn, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the sprawling beauty in front of you.

“Great atmosphere after the tour,” Canton-based Chris wrote for the Free Press.

At the charming and tasteful Inn & Club – open daily from 6am to 10pm – several seating options on the patios or indoors also provide comfort and stunning views of the stadium and lake. And yes, the food fits in with the landscape.

More than 400 votes were cast from more than 800 “Golfweek’s Best” residents to determine the top 10 bars and restaurants on golf courses, which were based above all on sentiment. Views, food, drinks menu and service were all part of the conversation. But Golfweek wanted to find the best places to relax and hang out after a ride.

“Enjoy Sip, Conversation, Golf and Heritage,” Golfweek wrote. “It can be hard to describe what makes one place a better hangout than another, but you know it when you see it. And then you never want to leave.”

Roscommon’s Forest Dunes also received a large number of votes, but it didn’t crack for the top ten.
