Cowboy Micah Parsons Sends Money to Fans After Twitter Exchange About Gas Prices | Ovarian Report

With no one else trying to fix rising gas prices across the country, Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is taking over to help those in need.

The ordeal began Thursday when Parsons tweeted about the average cost per gallon of gas being about $5 in the US:

Gas 5 dollars!! Man I feel bad for kids in high school I was charging my friends $5 to take them home! Now the minimum for home delivery is at least 20!

After a fan responded to his tweet about “not being rich having to deal with this,” the Pennsylvania graduate agreed and urged fans to send him their app money information so he can help them.

Bear Spotrac, Parsons’ contract paid him a signing bonus of $2.445 million and a base salary of $660,000 in 2021. He is set to earn $1.44 million in base salary this season, plus another $2.445 million in signing bonus.

Parsons later published a file screenshot From some of the people he sent him $25, indicating there were more people who sent him their info.

According to Chris Isidore of CNN.com, the average gallon of gas costs $4.99, with the highest cost per gallon in California at $6.42.

Tom Cluza, global head of energy analysis for OPIS that tracks gas prices for AAA, told Isidore that the national average could reach $6 a gallon by the end of summer.

“Anything runs from June 20 to Labor Day,” Kloza said. “Come to hell or high gas prices, people are going to take vacations.”

One of the biggest reasons for rising gas prices is the sanctions imposed on Russian oil as a result of the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

“The European Union’s recent decision to ban oil tanker shipments from Russia has led to an increase in oil prices in those world markets,” Isidore wrote.

It’s unclear at this point when prices might start to fall, but at least Parsons would like to help out in a small way for those who need it.
