Darwin Nunez: Liverpool have reached an agreement with Benfica for the Uruguayan striker

Darwin Nunez scored for Benfica against Liverpool in a 3-1 loss and a 3-3 draw in the Champions League last season.

The Portuguese club confirmed that Liverpool had reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez.

Benfica says €75m (£64m) has been agreed, rising to €100m (£85m) with additions.

Nunez, 22, scored 34 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for Benfica last season.
