I wonder if Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Bryson DeChambeau, and others would have played in the LIV Golf League if it was sponsored by North Korea’s Kim Jong Un using the $2 billion he stole from providing food to his hungry people. People. Sadly, I suspect that, given the Saudis’ involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the murder of a journalist inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey, and their poor human rights record, it didn’t deter them.

PGA golfers who defected to a LIV game must be allowed to return to the round as cans.

If I attend a LIV Golf event as a spectator, will the PGA stop me from attending their events?

Recently, the PGA suspended some of its players because players would not give up their chance to earn extra money from playing golf in a second round. The reasons given by PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan made the PGA seem petty and bitter. Basically, Monahan said the players were greedy and lacked loyalty to the PGA. Mr. Monahan even made a vague reference to 9/11 and Saudi Arabia when he attempted to point to virtue to justify his comment on these players. Meanwhile, President Biden does not appear to have a problem with Saudi Arabia as Biden will soon fly there to negotiate with Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, for oil. So I think Mr. Monahan has classified information about Saudi Arabia that the President of the United States does not have.

I have one thing to say to Phil Mickelson (and others who defected from the PGA to join the Saudi Tour): “Can you say greedy?”
He earned $200 million just to join. This is obscene.

Professional golfers play the game for (maximum) income/profit. It doesn’t seem to me any different from the American companies maximizing their profit potential in Saudi Arabia, except that there is little reaction to the CEOs and shareholders of these companies.
So why is the PGA threatening to ban LIV golfers? Oh, maybe because PGA is feeling its profits are fading away.

So glad that the $200 million in blood money from Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudis will allow Phil Mickelson “to do things off the golf course I’ve always wanted to do.”
I think this does not include gambling, because it is well documented that he did a lot of that already. Certainly, Saudi cash will enable him to pay off his debts, and then some. He won’t buy his way back to the PGA Tour, and I hope the ban lasts forever.

Kovacs’ dilemma
As part of a small minority that is part of a small minority, I am an Orthodox Jew who grew up in Los Angeles. My friends and I have one and only one hero – Sandy Kovacs
I know I’m picky in my criticism of the dodgers, but I give Sandy Kovacs a statue on a Sabbath, when not every Orthodox Jew can attend the game or the celebration. Hurts. We were hoping for more interest for us and the leader of Yom Kippur, but we have to settle for a replay.

evaders strategy
Speaking to The Times after Sunday’s loss to the Giants, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, “Collectively, I thought there was a lot of competition. But again, when you have that attitude [with runners on base]You have to find a way to push these people through.”
It must be seen in the mirror. What about thinking about double robbery, hit and run, sacrificing hit, run and flight, suicidal pressure or safe stress? The Dodgers rarely use any of these to try to get runners up. It has been time tested for decades. The manager is the strategist, not the players.

I would like to thank Dodgers management for devaluing my DirectTV subscription by streaming Dodger games on some 3rd tier streaming services that I don’t get.
Someone owes me a refund.

abysmal angels
As of June 16, the Angels are 2-18 years old over their last 20 games. They were facing the playoffs level in most of those games. So easy.

moving forward
Based on Dylan Hernandez’s interview with Brandon Staley, it appears the Chargers coach learned nothing from his reckless management of the team last season. The playoffs shouldn’t be relegated to Raiders. It happened because in previous games he had thrown away stupid calls from the bottom of the fourth and other slips. Then he justifies his actions by saying that he wants to instill a “courageous” attitude in his players. In the end, he spoiled the team’s chances.

All salute the heroes
Let’s examine the Warriors and Lakers rosters. Stephen Curry does not pick players at Golden State Warriors. General Manager Bob Myers does. On the other hand, the Lakers allow LeBron James to pick players. The result is simple. Warriors have unlimited tournaments in their future. The near future the Lakers have no chance of competing.

Nothing at the end of the game
Why not cross all of these BS with names, image, and similarity and make it to the final game, i.e. the schools act as pro minor leagues and pay players for what they really are. This would save the schools from having to deal with all this water-soaking nonsense. It would also allow us to give up pretending to be “student-athletes”. Just think of ink media can be saved by dropping the “student” from the printout.
