Kylie Jenner shops at Target amid backlash from private jets
Kylie Jenner is accused of ‘trying to cosplay as middle class’ while shopping at Target amid backlash over her private jet use.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, 24, posted a TikTok video on Monday of herself pushing her daughter, Stormi, and her nieces Chicago and True, all 4, in a shopping cart.
“Where are we going, girls?” Jenner asked.
“Target!” replied the cousins in unison.
“You don’t want bowls?” the “Kardashians” star asked the little ones as they browsed through the homewares section before leading them to the toys.
“Did you praise the target for this real question,” one TikTok user commented on the upload, while another wrote that the near-billionaire was “playing normal life simulator.”
In a Reddit thread discussing the footage, one user accused Jenner of “trying to appeal to us peasants,” calling her “out of touch.” A second simply wrote, “What’s in damage control?”
The TikTok post came a week after the reality TV star took a 17-minute private jet flight from Camarillo, Calif., to Van Nuys, Calif., about a 45-minute drive.
Jenner then shared a black-and-white photo of herself hugging her boyfriend, Travis Scott, between their two throws, braggingly writing, “Do you want to take mine or yours?”
The makeup mogul previously came under fire for her jet usage in 2019 when she picked up her sister Kendall Jenner for dinner on a personalized Global Express plane.
And in May, Kylie and her mother, Kris Jenner, had their eyes rolled as they browsed a gas station and grocery store in awe on an episode of their family’s Hulu show.
Kris, 66, noted in a confessional that she “stopped going to the grocery store because people there were taking furtive photos, and suddenly paparazzi were showing up.”
The Kylie Cosmetics creator, however, needed the “experience checking out” at the supermarket, saying, “I’ve been waiting for this for years.”
As the talent manager’s youngest child made her purchase and returned her cart, Kris clapped.
“Come on, Kylie, come on! the matriarch gushed at the time. “Kylie, you’re doing great, sweetie – wow, watch her go! Good job!”
