Made in Abyss Shares Season 2 Opener: Watch

Made in Abyss is back for its highly anticipated second season as part of the Summer 2022 anime schedule, and has dropped a new opening theme sequence to top it all off! This summer in particular has been stacked with some of the biggest comebacks in anime so far, and one of the major franchises leading the pack has been Made in Abyss. After the success of the first season, compilation films and the official movie sequel with Dawn of the Deep Soul, Made in Abyss is now back for The Golden City of the Scorching Sun as Riko and Reg continue to dive deeper. far into the titular Abyss.

With Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Burning Sun Now a few episodes into its summer run, the series has also debuted the full opening theme sequence for its new episode. This time around, the opening theme is titled “Katachi” performed by Riko Azuna, and the sequence not only teases the fact that season 2 introduces a whole new cast of characters, but also some of the intense moments that will come our young main character path as it continues. Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Burning Sun is directed by Masayuki Kojima for Kinema Citrus with Shinpei Yamashita returning as producer, Kazuchika Kise returning as character designer, Hiryuki Kurata handling the scripts once again, and Kevin Penkin returning to compose the music. The main cast of Miyu Tomita as Riko, Mariya Ise as Reg, and Shiori Izawa as Nanachi also return with new additions for the second season, including Misaki Kuno as Faputa, Yuka Terasaki as Vueko, Hiroaki Hirata as Wazukyan, Mitsuki Saiga as Belaf, Hiroki Goto as Majikaja, Kana Ichinose as Maaa, Kimiko Saito as Muugi, and Ryota Takeuchi as Gaburoo.
