Vijay’s Liger Trailer D: Packs A Hulky Punch
A rags to riches story is an achievable theme, if told impeccably. A fresh setup with an engaging storyline and the necessary emotions are a must for these kinds of stories.
Director Puri Jagannadh went for sports drama for his debut Pan India Liger project with Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role and put his spin on it, in terms of character design and storytelling.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Rebel Star Prabhas released the Telugu trailer for the film.
Liger is an inspiring underdog story of a Mumbai chaiwala whose life is full of adventure and drama.
Love-hate, insults, almost nothing stops him from achieving his goal. The mother kicks him, the coach beats him, the lover rejects him, which makes him a stronger person.
The trailer actually begins with Ramya Krishna giving a definition of the name Liger given to his son, which alludes to his birth secret.
Then we see the heroism of Vijay Deverakonda and his madness in the ring. In addition to throwing powerful punches, he dances madly in the ring.
If you are wondering if Mike Tyson is there. Of course, he’s there to deliver the final punch to this power-packed trailer.
“If you’re a fighter, what am I,” Mike Tyson says in his style, and his warning with hand gestures is kind of disappointing, because it’s the end and we have to wait for the release to find out more on this deadly combo.
However, the trailer packs a massive punch with some masterful work and collective effort from the main cast and technical crew.
Puri Jagannadh is a master when it comes to showcasing his heroes in first-of-its-kind characters and giving them the best stylish makeovers.
Vijay Deverakonda’s screen presence, stuttering, body language and looks are simply breathtaking. Ramya Krishna surprises in a role of mass mother, while Ananya Pandey appeared as a typical girlfriend of this generation. Then Mike Tyson’s entry towards the end made the big difference.
Backed by Puri Connects and Bollywood’s leading production house, Dharma Productions, Liger’s team splashed the cash profusely to achieve a rich and superior look.
Cinematography, music and editing are the other superior works. Kecha’s action choreography deserves special mention.
The film, Liger, will be released in Pan India on August 11.
