Harvey Weinstein smelled of ‘poop’, says author in new book
The stench of the ‘Weinstein Effect’ still lingers on Monday, five years after mainstream reports of Harvey Weinstein’s dark reign of sexual terror first came to light.
Author Ken Auletta’s explosive new book, “Hollywood Ending: Harvey Weinstein and the Culture of Silence,” delves deep into the horrifying truth of the disgraced movie producer’s downfall.
“[He] had an idea in his head that his body was attractive,” the author, 80, told Fox News, despite reports that he smelled like feces, had scars on his genitals to the point that they “looked like to a vagina” and a back full of “uncomfortable blackheads”.
Still, “he really thought he was a gift from God, a Don Juan,” added Auletta, who spoke to several former Miramax film studio employees, Weinstein accusers and even the brother’s partner. former film producer, Bob Weinstein, for the talk.
In one chapter, the famed New Yorker magazine media critic recounts how Jessica Mann – an ex-actress who claimed Weinstein, 70, raped her – testified on the stand that he smelled of “poo” and that her private parts appeared “distorted”.
“I remember the district attorney circulating photos [at his 2020 trial] …and the jurors barely looked at them. They just showed them to the next person. They were so disgusted. They had no interest in looking at these photos. I remember I kept looking at Harvey. He just sat in his chair expressionless. Sometimes he fell asleep,” Auletta continued.
The Oscar-winning ‘Shakespeare in Love’ producer is currently serving 23 years in prison following a conviction for rape and sexual assault and an unsuccessful attempt to have his sentence overturned.
Auletta also told Fox News that Weinstein’s victims were afraid to expose him for fear of his revenge.
“They were afraid to challenge him and be called liars,” Auletta said. “They knew he would attack or chastise them. He had enormous power in the press.
He added that Weinstein was “willing to pay these women a sum of money to shut up. And as long as they signed a nondisclosure agreement, they couldn’t tell anyone.
“In the end, he had no compassion. He had no ability to understand what he was doing to women,” Auletta added.
Mann testified at Weinstein’s 2020 trial how he raped her in 2013 at the Midtown Manhattan DoubleTree hotel. She noted how his genitals were so “deformed” and that he had pulled his penis with erection medication moments before they met.
“The first time I saw him fully naked, I felt, I thought he was deformed and intersexed,” Mann said at the trial.
“He has an extreme scar that I didn’t know if he might have been a burn victim, but it just didn’t make sense. He has no testicles and looks like he has a vagina.
