There’s a lot to unpack in the new 80-second clip. After walking away from mythical quest, Ian and Poppy started their own company, GrimmPop Studios, but clearly their bickering and selfish clashes are as constant as ever. And it looks like Dana is re-evaluating her decision to take a job with them after tirelessly mediating disputes. David (David Hornsby) is finally in charge, with Jo (Jessie Ennis) at his side, but with his abysmal leadership he can’t seem to keep the company afloat for long. Interestingly, Brad also came back from prison as a redeemed man, apparently working as a janitor to earn an honest living. But given his previous antics, it’s clear he’s putting together an act with a sinister plan up his sleeve. Sadly, there are no more inappropriate jokes from the CW Longbottom head writer, as F. Murray Abraham, who plays the character, left Mythic Quest after season 2.
With an abundance of sharp humor, crazy high jinks and stellar performances, mythical quest continues its thoughtful and critical exploration of the gaming industry without losing steam in the Season 3 teaser. Of course, due to its short runtime, the story progression isn’t quite clear in the teaser, but it seems that by the time mythical quest season 3 ends, there will be a fitting resolution to Ian and Poppy’s competitive camaraderie. Either they would learn to work beyond their differences and collaborate, or they would go their separate ways, becoming rivals in what could be the end of the series. At present, the clip focuses on the loud fun that awaits fans, but the plot details for mythical quest Season 3 will be teased once a full trailer is released, along with a possible premiere date announcement.
