Alice Evans launches another blistering attack on her ‘liar’ ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd
Alice Evans has launched another attack on her ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd, saying she needs to “speak her truth” on social media because she “doesn’t have the money” to afford a lawyer.
The Fantastic Four actor Gruffudd, 48, filed for joint custody of his two daughters Elsie, eight, and Ella, 12, earlier this month after his ex-wife, Evans, 53, filed for sole custody amid a bitter divorce.
In Instagram posts on Tuesday, Evans accused Gruffudd of using money that should have been spent on the welfare of their daughters in his legal case and insisted he was not saying the truth by calling her a “bad parent” in legal documents.

Evans, who previously claimed her ex had stopped paying for their daughter’s private tuition, then shared a text exchange she said was between Gruffudd and one of his daughters.
In a lengthy Instagram rant, Evans began, “See, I don’t have any money.” I gave up on my career because I wanted the love of my life to have an amazing career and be away most of the time. And I gritted my teeth and walked away.
“I missed work, oh my god, I missed work, but I didn’t want a day to go by without seeing my two amazing daughters. So that was a plus for them. [sic]’

The 102 Dalmatians star went on to claim her ex was trying to ‘ruin’ his name, saying, “Ask my kids. Like everyone who knows us. Being called a “bad parent” when I’ve given up everything for them and don’t sleep at night just in case and worry about how to feed them, check on their health, take them to the dentist….’
She continued, “Those of you who might be thinking ‘why does she keep posting on Instagram when her lawyers are going to take her down for it?
“But think about it. He’s spending money that should have gone to girls’ education, sports, college, to use a lawyer to gag me.
Evans added that she was “shut down” by the domestic violence restraining order Gruffudd granted against her.
She continued, “HE gets to say it. HE lied so much about me being a bad parent (you couldn’t be further from the truth.)
‘But I? I am threatened with fines, prison if I tell MY TRUTH about what is really happening. And all I have is social media because I can’t afford a lawyer.
“Isn’t this a microcosm of rich and poor America? I’ll probably go to court for posting this. (another example of how he treats his children)
“He could well be congratulated for doing the right thing. To go through the courts. He might just take my kids away from me (good luck with that dude)
“Anyway, I didn’t do anything wrong and I will keep fighting. [sic]’
Allegations: In Instagram posts on Tuesday, Evans accused Gruffudd of using money that should have been spent on the welfare of their daughters in his legal case
In a follow-up post, Evans shared a photo of court records that appeared to be related to her social media activity.
The context of the drop was unclear, with just Alice’s name and the words “Instagram” and “Twitter” visible.
Evans captioned the footage: ‘Insane. Check his OWN Instagram account.
‘It’s a photo of him and Bianca titled ‘FINALLY someone who makes me smile’.
Alice’s statement was incorrect, however, as the photo in question – posted in October last year when Ioan went public with his actress girlfriend Bianca Wallace – was actually captioned: ‘Thank you for making me smile again.”

Despite his inaccuracy, Evans continued, “By your own admission, Mr. Gruffudd, your children have access to Instagram.
“You swore in their life when you left us that there was no other woman.
“Yet when it turned out there was, (someone from Harrow you suddenly met in June ha ha ha) YOU CHOSEN TO TELL YOUR CHILDREN VIA INSTAGRAM?
“You broke their hearts.”
Evans has previously accused her ex and Wallace of carrying on a three-year affair – there is no evidence that Gruffudd was unfaithful.
MailOnline has contacted representatives of Gruffudd for comment.

Gruffudd filed a joint custody petition in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, July 8, seeking custody and visitation to see his children.
The actor claimed in the filing that Evans deliberately tried to cut off communication between himself and the children.
He also requested that the girls undergo in-person therapy and reunification therapy via Zoom with him pending court-ordered mediation over custody.
Last month, Evans claimed to be ‘completely out of money for food and bills’ but said she was focused on being ‘the best mother I can be’.
In an Instagram post with one of her daughters pictured, she wrote a scathing comment about her lack of funds as the court case between her and her ex-husband continues.
She claimed that she would receive no financial support from Ioan and that she was struggling to pay her legal fees and would be unable to “feed or clothe” their daughters.
“Trying to hold it all together while being threatened, completely out of money for food and bills and just found out someone tried to break down our outside door last night,” she said .
‘But it’s worth it! (And the one who currently doesn’t want to be photographed.)
‘Whatever. Above all, I will be the best mother possible. Still. They will never lose me. Thank you all for so much love and support! Having a bit of a hard time!
New love: Gruffudd filed for divorce from Evans in March 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. He now lives with Bianca Wallace, 30, in Los Angeles (pictured in June)
Evans claimed in June that Gruffudd had successfully had his domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) extended against her, but she denied any allegations of abuse and insisted he was “chasing the fame of Johnny Depp”.
It has since been revealed that Gruffudd is seeking to maintain a restraining order against Evans.
Gruffudd filed for a temporary restraining order against Evans in February 2022, offering up to 113 pages of Alice’s abusive text messages, emails and social media posts.
In a bid to close the case, Gruffudd hired Brad Pitt’s divorce attorney, Anne Kiley, who reportedly requested that the order – which requires Evans not contact or harass him or his girlfriend friend – continue for at least another year.

The pair went Instagram official in October, after posting a photo of them with the words, “Thank you for making me smile again.”
Evans and Gruffudd met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000, when the actress was in a relationship with Pablo Picasso’s grandson, Olivier.
The former couple got engaged six years later after she gave him an ultimatum over their relationship, and they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mexico in September 2007.
Gruffudd has not publicly discussed the couple’s divorce.
