Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat announce their split. “It’s important to be clear,” writes the actress

Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat, who found love on reality TV Bigg Boss OTT, announced their split on their respective Instagram Stories on Tuesday. The actors, who were trending thanks to a set of pasty images circulating online, said the photos were from a music video in which they appeared together. Shamita Shetty, in her Instagram story, wrote: “I think it’s important to clarify this. Raqesh and I are no longer together and haven’t been in a while but this beautiful music video is for all fans who have given us so much love and support. Keep showering us with your love as individuals too. Here comes positivity and new horizons. Love and gratitude to all of you.”

Meanwhile, Raqesh Bapat in his statement wrote: “I would like to share with you all that Shamita and I are no longer together. Fate has caused our paths to meet in the most unusual of circumstances. Many thanks to the Shara family for all the love and support. Being a private person, I didn’t want to publicly announce any separations. However, I feel we owe it to our fans to post it. I realize it will break your heart, but you can continue to shower your love for us as individuals too. I look forward to all of your support. This music video is dedicated to all of you.

Reports of Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat’s breakup first surfaced in March this year. Posting a screenshot of a media report, Shamita Shetty then wrote, “We ask you not to believe any such rumors regarding our relationship. There is no truth in this. Love and light for everybody.”

Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat started dating in Bigg Boss OTT house, where they were participants. Later, Raqesh appeared as a generic participant on Big Boss 15, where Shamita was one of the finalists. However, he had to leave the show due to health issues.

Shamita Shetty is best known for her performances in Mohabbatein, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and Zeher. She has also participated in reality shows like big boss 3, Bigg Boss OTT and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8. She also starred in the web-series black widow spidersalongside Swastika Mukherjee and Mona Singh.
