Tom Cruise savors the fruits of his success!
On Monday, the 60-year-old shared dinner with Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez at exclusive London restaurant The Twenty Two.
Dressed in a black shirt and denim jeans, the Top Gun: Maverick The star was all smiles as she arrived at the upmarket Grosvenor Square restaurant for dinner with Bezos, 58, and Sanchez, 52, who wore a sleek black summer dress.
The meal came as Cruise’s latest film passed the billion dollar mark at the global box office. It is the first of the actor’s films to reach the rare milestone, with his second highest worldwide earner coming in 2018. Mission: Impossible – Fallwhich grossed $791.1 million worldwide.
The blockbuster sequel is also expected to become the most financially rewarding for Cruise himself. Variety recently reported that Cruise is set to earn $100 million or more from Top Gun: Maverickmade from a combination of his initial salary, a percentage of worldwide ticket sales and a share of the film’s future home entertainment revenue, the outlet added.
Despite this, Cruise reportedly accepted a lower-than-normal upfront payment — $13 million — for the film, according to an earlier report by Variety.
The outlet added that Cruise structured this one-time deal to ensure he earned more after the film hit theaters. By Varietythe actor currently has a similar deal scheduled for the next two episodes of the Impossible mission franchise too.

“To all the movies coming out, to all the studios, and to all the operators: congratulations”, Cruise wrote on Twitter in June, reacting to the film’s huge box office success. “To the audience: Thank you for venturing out and allowing us to entertain you. See you at the cinema.”

Last week, Sanchez, 52, donated $1 million to the family-focused charity This Is About Humanity (TIAH), which works to raise awareness for separated and reunited families at the US-Mexico border.
“We are very honored to receive Ms. Sánchez’s generous donation to TIAH,” the nonprofit organization said in a press release Thursday. “As an ongoing supporter of our border initiatives, Ms. Sánchez truly understands our mission and personifies why we do what we do. As we continue to support families and children at the border, this $1 million donation keeps us moving forward towards our goals. , young and old,” he added.
