Watch: SHINEDOWN’S BRENT SMITH Jumps Into The Crowd At Toronto Concert To Break Up The Fight
SHINE leader Brent Smith stopped the band’s concert in Ontario, Canada on July 22 and physically entered the crowd to break up a fight.
According to MusicLifeMagazine.net, the incident happened earlier in SHINEAll 17 songs took place at the at History venue in downtown Toronto. Black-smith jumped into the audience to respond to the altercation, telling the assailant to back off and relax. He then announced to the alleged victim that he would bring them to the side stage with their guest to see the rest of the show.
SHINE is currently touring Canada with special guests POP BAD and AYRON JONES. The band is promoting their latest album, “Planet Zero”who exceeded four Billboard rock album charts in its first week of release: Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums. The set sold 50,000 equivalent album units, according to Luminate. Of this amount, 43,000 came from album sales. On the Billboard 200 all genres, “Planet Zero” arrived at No. 5, scoring SHINEfifth title in the top five. It also landed at No. 1 on the all-genre album best-selling chart.
“Planet Zero”was released on July 1. The high concept and viscerally charged album, produced by SHINEit is Eric Basstakes a critical look at the division between those of different ideologies, the cancellation culture rife, the toxicity of social media, the need for honesty in our public discourse, and the corrosive effects of these things on mental health and the humanity.
SHINE checked in “Planet Zero” during the pandemic, mainly in Lowis newly built Big Animal Studio in his hometown of South Carolina.

The next American stage of “Planet Zero” around the world (produced by nation live) begins in Bonner Springs, Kansas on September 3 with special guests JELLY ROLLS and Jean Harvie. Routing also includes festival performances at stronger than life September 23 in Louisville, Kentucky and replica on October 9 in Sacramento, Calif.
SHINE recently embarked on a European tour of selected festivals and shows with IRON MAIDEN.
