Rondeau had been arrested in connection with an incident with Moakler on February 24 in connection with a crime of domestic violence after he was charged with physically assaulting the Celebrity Big Brother star.
During the exchange, sources told the outlet that Moakler and Rondeau had a falling out over his accusations that she was unfaithful to him; after leaving the scene, she returned the next morning and they continued to argue, with things getting physical.
In late February, Rondeau took to social media with a clip in which he accused her of being unfaithful to him and swore they wouldn’t get together as a couple.
Moakler manager David Weintraub told Page Six after Rondeau’s arrest that “social media saved his life” after Rondeau’s clip was “immediately reported and the police were called.”
Weintraub said Moakler was “well and survived this traumatic experience” and asked to “give him some space to adjust to life after this trauma”.
Rondeau, who had been dating Moakler on and off since 2020, later took to Instagram after his arrest and claimed Moakler made him “be the bad guy” and denied physically abusing Moakler.

Moakler earlier this week told TMZ that she “is not pressing charges” against Rondeau, adding that she “hopes the city attorney will respect my wishes and drop everything as well.”
“You know I would never lay my hands on another woman,” he said. “My mother is my angel and my best friend. She raised me well.
In a police report obtained by US Weekly following Rondeau’s arrest, a police officer said Rondeau “caught [the] victim by the hair” and threw her “by the hair on the ground”.
The officer said Rondeau “seized [Moakler’s] face and neck, threw a chair at the victim and urinated on it [her]leaving visible wounds afterwards.
The officer said firearms were confiscated following the incident and Rondeau was ordered not to contact Moakler “by any means” or harass, attack, hit, threaten, [or] attack him.
Authorities issued the Pacific Blue actress a Rondeau restraining order after the arrest, ordering him to stay at least 100 yards away from her, but the couple later rekindled their relationship.

Rondeau described himself as “an admirable person, an incredible son and a very respectable and loving partner” in a statement to TMZ this week about his court case.

Rondeau was later charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney with misdemeanor domestic violence, battery and vandalism in connection with the incident, to which he pleaded not guilty earlier this week, Page Six reported. He is due in court on Monday in connection with the charges.
Moakler earlier this week told TMZ that she “is not pressing charges” against Rondeau, adding that she “hopes the city attorney will respect my wishes and drop everything as well.”
She added: ‘I will support Matthew 100%. It has changed our lives enough. We both learned from this experience that we never wanted to go public and we would like to move forward in a positive and peaceful way.

“I haven’t even spoken or commented because I’m so saddened and disgusted by the narrative that the media presented to me,” he said. “I pray that the city of Los Angeles allows me to show them that they made the right choice by dropping all charges against me.”
