Like so many longtime fans of the royal family, we eagerly await the arrival of Prince Harry’s next memoir. Of course, not everyone is eagerly awaiting the Duke of Sussex’s next tale. Following reports that Buckingham Palace are preparing to go on the offensive once the memoir is published later this year, a royal insider has revealed Prince Charles tried to speak with Harry about the contents of the memoir – and the meeting did not. had not gone well.

Ahead of the Invictus Games a few months ago, the Prince of Wales tried to get all the details he could from his son regarding the highly anticipated memoir, but to no avail. “We know that Prince Charles spent very little time with his son, Prince Harry,” royal expert Neil Sean told The Express. “Charles wanted to have a one-on-one conversation, but it ended up being a very brief meeting,” he continued.

“According to a very good source, Prince Harry has refused to detail anything about his upcoming memoir to Prince Charles.” Bearing in mind that such momentous occasions as Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s 75th birthday took place this year, Charles was eager to hear the details of his son’s memoir. “Charles doesn’t want any negativity,” Sean pointed out. “According to this good source, Harry has refused to talk about what he wrote in his book and how it will turn out. It’s been pushed back, and Charles will have to wait and see like all of us.

Sean also revealed a theory he has about why Harry and company aren’t sharing any details about the book, even with his own family. “The fact that they stay so low-key means there must be memory bombs,” Sean mused. “Charles then chilled his youngest son with a very short encounter. He wanted to have a mature, adult conversation about what the book would contain and if there was anything the royals should be worried about.

We’ve known for over a year now that Harry’s reveal is on the way. With an impending release date drawing ever closer, it’s no wonder the royals are on edge. But as Sean said, it looks like they’ll just have to wait and see what the memoir holds like the rest of the audience.
