Beyonce fans react to Diane Warren apparently shading the singer for using 24 songwriters
While Beyonce’s legions of fans enjoy her new album Renaissance — her first album since 2016’s Lemonade — some have defended her against a shadow supposedly thrown her way by Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren.
Warren, 65, took to Twitter on Monday, asking, “How can there be 24 writers on a song?” with a rolling eyes emoji.
The tweet – apparently in reference to Beyonce’s song Alien Superstar – was not well received by BeyHive, with fans bashing her for everything from her age to not knowing how the samples work.

Her tweet – sent early Monday morning – apparently exploded instantly, angering fans who thought she was sending shade to Beyonce.
Warren tried to tone down that idea, tweeting 15 minutes later, “It’s not meant to be shade, I’m just curious.”
About 20 minutes later, she seemed to have it figured out, tweeting, “Okay, these are proof samples adding up the number of writers.”
