Katy Perry Says Daughter Daisy Shares Love of Performing Arts With Orlando Bloom: ‘She’s a Ham’
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy, takes after her parents when it comes to her love of the arts.
“It’s a ham,” the singer told PEOPLE exclusively on the rooftop of HEIMAT in Los Angeles, at the launch party for De Soi, her line of soft drinks she co-founded. “She likes to dress up. She’s not very shy.”
The american idol Judge and her 45-year-old actor fiancé welcomed their first child together, Daisy Dove, in August 2020. Bloom is also the father of son Flynn, 11, from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr.
The 37-year-old thinks she might even get a little backup dancer in the near future.
“She loves ballet,” Perry says. “She goes to tutu school and she loves it. It’s very adorable.”

While she’s been a mother for nearly two years, the “I Kissed A Girl” hitmaker is still blown away by how the mom title has changed her life.
“I’m so blessed,” said Perry, who is also busy doing her PLAY residency at Resorts World in Las Vegas. “You never thought there was this capacity for love.”
The family of three recently returned from a month-long stay in New Castle, Kentucky, when Bloom was busy filming his latest thriller, red right hand. The change of pace gave the musician a different perspective on parenting and taking on “normal” tasks.
“I was just a mom and doing all the country life,” Perry says. “Just enjoying it, living in the small. I’ve lived in the big so much. Learning to be a normal person is good. Having to go to the grocery store, going to Walmart. Just being able to ride with life.”
As she prepares to celebrate her daughter’s upcoming birthday, the bereaved mother is busy popping bottles for the other new baby in her life: De Soi, a fizzy, low-calorie mocktail.
Created during the COVID-19 pandemic amid her pregnancy with Daisy, all three flavors are a stylish alternative that benefits both mind and body.
“We always enjoy a cocktail, but more really Monday through Thursday because you know, wake up time is five to seven and there’s just a lot of energy,” Perry explains alongside business partner Morgan McLachlan. .
“It means enjoyment with restraint,” McLachlan adds of the drink’s name. “We have an amazing team and it’s been a really amazing thing.”
