As Disney+ prepares to roll out its latest additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase Four appears to be in full swing. Upcoming movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the new TV event Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, there is no MCU shutdown. Another upcoming series coming to the streaming platform is She-Hulk: Lawyer. The show is already making headlines for promoting a 1-877 phone number on its poster, making it look like the show’s star will be portraying otherworldly superhumans. Recently, a music video from the series surfaced as Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, discovers her secret new superpower.
In the video, Walters is guided by her cousin Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, as Banner explains all the benefits of being Hulk during what appears to be some sort of training session. According to a report from CBR.com, Jennifer Walters discovers that when she transforms into She-Hulk, the alcohol is metabolized in such a way that she cannot get drunk when she drinks a cocktail, regardless of the how much she drinks. As Ruffalo’s Hulk says, “Everything buzzes, no puking.” Walters may be a little skeptical about how useful her powers can be in her job as a lawyer, but it seems at least drinking at business dinners isn’t a problem for her anymore. in the future. It seems like transitioning into a giant green-skinned humanoid beast might have its perks.
The previously mentioned music video of She-Hulk: Lawyer was posted on YouTube ahead of the show’s scheduled release on Disney+ on August 17, 2022. The series will contain nine episodes and feature guest appearances from Mark Ruffalo, The Good Place Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Girls5eva starring Renée Elise Goldsberry and Tim Roth. Roth will play Emil Blonsky, otherwise known as Abomination in the comics, who Newsweek says will be one of Jennifer Walters’ clients and a Hulk-like type of character. The series will revolve around Walters and her law firm that handles cases dealing with superhumans after she becomes one of them.
Prior to her starring role in She-Hulk: Lawyeractress Tatiana Maslany shot to fame when she won a Primetime Emmy Award for her work on black orphan. This series showcased Maslany’s talents in taking on multiple roles at the same time, as she had the daunting task of portraying human clones of herself, leading to more than five distinct personas and personalities that Maslany assumed simultaneously.
