Original Sin season 1, episode 5 recap – “The Night He Came Home”
Summary
A kills again, while the mystery remains whether Kelly is Karen. It’s an exciting episode that keeps the audience in suspense throughout.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin summary of season 1, episode 5
On Halloween in 1999, Angela’s “friends” (the Liars’ mothers) force her to throw dog poo on someone’s door. But they throw Angela under the bus as they leave without her, which presumably means Angela gets caught. In the current timeline, the Liars speculate on what their mothers did and whether or not they should disobey A. Henry tells Faran that Kelly has a scar on her foot; does that mean Kelly is Karen? Faran voices his concerns to Madame Giry, but Madame Giry tells him that Kelly has a history of self-harm before strongly advising Faran that she drop her claims.
Tabbu goes to see Wes for his final paycheck and he accuses him of ghosting him. But Tabby calls her out for trying to kiss her. So, Wes apologizes and offers Tabby his job. The mouse tells her mother that she will go out on Halloween because she is going to a party. When Faran speaks with Kelly, she notices that she has a scar on her hand; so Faran asks Kelly if she is hurting herself.
As for the party, Tyler tries it with Faran. Elsewhere, A also attends the party and they put on the pumpkin mask that Angela wore in 1999. Imogen bumps into A but seems too scared to say anything. A watches Faran and Henry kiss. After Noa takes a ride or a ride with Steve, who likes when she calls him “daddy”, she asks him to take her to the party. But Noa, or Rachel as Steve calls her, is unaware when a figure walks past. Back at the party, Kelly and Greg kiss; does that mean she’s Karen?
Chip tells Tabby that he got an extension on their movie so she could remake the movie; Tabby agrees, although she adds that they will need a new Norman Bates, aka not Greg. Finally, Faran accuses Kelly of being Karen. Instead, Kelly gets upset that people can’t believe Kelly could be anything great. Faran warns Kelly that her life could be in danger; however, A listens closely. The night’s party ends when Tabby stops Tyler from forcing Mouse to drink. The tension builds and at the end, Tabby punches Tyler in the nose.
The end
With a broken nose, Tyler goes to the bathroom. But A attacks and kills Tyler. And with everyone ignorant, A picks up Tyler’s body and dumps it in the back of a truck. Imogen receives a call from an unknown man; he reveals that he knew Imogen’s mother, Angela, and Angela’s family. They then decide to meet. When Mouse comes home, her mother asks her if she enjoyed the party. Mouse explains that she needed a night to herself; she admits what happened in the past was scary, but it’s gone and it’s never coming back. Who is he?
Madame Giry calls Faran; she tells him that Kelly called and told him what happened. As a result, Faran will no longer play the lead role in Black Swan. At home, Kelly tells her mother that she will play the main role. but even her mother mistakes her for Karen. Imogen asks Tabby what it was really about with Tyler; Tabby reveals that in the summer, something happened to her. Imogen tells her that something happened to her too.
