Angelina Jolie’s “constant stream of attacks on Brad” Pitt
Next month will mark the sixth birthday of Angelina Jolie shocking the world by filing for divorce from Brad Pitt.
But despite being declared legally single in 2019, the exes are still no further in reaching a custody agreement for their children — even as they reach college age.
“It seems Angelina is determined that Brad will never be held 50/50,” a source familiar with the legal battle told The Post. “And there are some who say she won’t rest until the kids are legally adults, so Brad will never have joint custody.”
This is just the latest salvo in a seemingly endless war. “Angelina makes a steady stream of attacks on Brad. And she deliberately sold her disputed share of their vineyard to a buyer she knew he didn’t want,” a friend of Pitt’s believes.
Pitt, 58, has been on the red carpet all over the world lately as he prepares to open his latest movie ‘Bullet Train’ this weekend, but he apparently can’t escape the long-range of Pretty.
In legal papers in June, Pitt, 58, claimed Jolie, 47, intentionally ‘sought to harm him’ by selling her interests in wine brand Chateau Miraval to Russian businessman Yuri Shefler, founder of Stoli Vodka.
Pitt said they had agreed never to sell their respective shares without each other’s permission. He also requested a jury trial.
“It’s his baby, he’s very proud of it and he’s put all of the company’s income into the Miraval vineyard and studios,” a Hollywood friend said, noting that the winery in Correns, France, has also a recording studio.
“Unfortunately, Angelina sold her share, which was against their agreement, to someone they had both previously turned down,” the friend added, as Pitt had previously turned down a deal with Stoli.
And then there was the recent news that Jolie’s lawyers sent servers to the SAG Awards in February, hoping to catch Pitt off guard with a subpoena for Miraval’s business at the event. (He didn’t attend.) It was another example of Jolie trying to create a public scene to escalate the situation, according to people in the know.
In April, Page Six reported that Jolie allegedly set off “a desperate fishing expedition” by suing the FBI as “Jane Doe” to learn more about her investigation into an alleged 2016 private jet altercation incident involving Pitt and their son Maddox, and why his agents haven’t charged the actor.
An anonymous call was made to authorities, prompting the FBI’s investigation, which concluded on November 22, 2016, with no charges of wrongdoing. A few days later, Jolie filed for divorce.
Page Six also learns that, behind the scenes, things got tense earlier this year when Pitt’s legal team believed Jolie’s attorneys tried to have their court-certified child psychologist disciplined by the office of the Attorney General of California due to his perception that the Doctor had sided with Pitt, concluding that Pitt should have 50/50 custody of the children.
Psychologist Stan Katz, who spoke to the underage Jolie-Pitt children about the custody case, is currently the subject of a non-criminal investigation by the California Attorney General’s office, according to a Superior Court filing. from California and seen by Page Six.
Katz is not believed to have received any complaints about him in a 30-year career. A source close to Pitt called Jolie’s report “scathing”.
Although another insider with knowledge of the issues pointed out that Jolie had nothing to do with the investigation, a senior legal insider told Page Six that only one or both parties involved in the case can press charges. A friend of Pitt’s confirmed that it wasn’t the actor.
The filing stated that: “The Court finds that Petitioner (Jolie) filed a Notice of No Objection and Defendant (Pitt) took no position.”
Katz declined to comment. We contacted the GA office. The scope of the investigation is not known and it is unclear if the investigation is still ongoing.
After years of back and forth, Pitt was granted joint custody of his minor children in May 2021, as revealed by Page Six.
However, Judge John Ouderkirk was later disqualified from the case for failing to sufficiently disclose business dealings with Pitt’s lawyers – so it was back to square one, and the exes are still fighting for the keep.
Another source close to the matter revealed: “Everything is at a standstill. Last year was a real rollercoaster. Brad was awarded 50/50 custody in a lengthy and detailed court ruling. Then the appeals court reversed the decision on the basis of something having nothing to do with the merits of the case.
“It was an internal dispute between the judges and the private judges in California, nothing to do with the custody agreement. It was a technicality. We don’t know where things stand at the moment.
Meanwhile, Pitt is believed not to be close with his eldest son and Jolie’s son Maddox, who turned 21 on Friday.
Asked how often the actor sees the other children, the source familiar with the matter said, “He can see them, but he still isn’t 50/50. But he’s trying to get through it.
Representatives for Jolie and Pitt were unavailable for comment.
The exes have six children. Maddox is currently studying biochemistry at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Pax, 18, is believed to be continuing his education and Zahara, 17, is set to leave for Spelman College.
Jolie announced in an Instagram post that Zahara will be attending the historically black University of Atlanta this fall.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters!” The “Eternals” star captioned an image of her daughter surrounded by other Spelman students.
Her daughter Shiloh, 16, showed off her hip-hop dance moves in June in a now-viral clip to Doja Cat’s “Vegas.”
Pitt joked about it at the “Bullet Train” premiere: “I don’t know where she got that from. I’m Mr. Two-Footed Left here. He also said that Zahara’s acceptance into college “brings tears to my eyes.”
It’s a new side to the Oscar-winning actor, who also shares 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with Jolie, as he was previously so protective of his children that he rarely spoke about them.
Pitt has been on the promotional trail for “Bullet Train”, traveling to Paris, Berlin and London over the past month.
In Germany, the actor walked the red carpet wearing a skirt he co-designed with Haans Nicolas Mott.
When asked why he was wearing the skirt, Pitt told Variety, “I don’t know! We’re all going to die, so let’s mess it up.
The Hollywood friend said the answer is simple: “Brad does travel regularly, but this was his first major event in a few years and he had a lot of fun with it.”
But “fun” doesn’t mean romance right now. Pitt ‘not currently dating,’ Hollywood told friend. “He’s been dating for the past two years, but he’s not dating anyone right now.”
Instead, Pitt spends time on his art, architecture, and hangs out with friends. He will appear in the Damien Chazelle-directed drama “Babylon” starring Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde, which opens on Christmas Day.
“He is well placed,” said Hollywood friend. “He had a good break in Europe. He looks refreshed and relaxed.
