A rep for Heche told PEOPLE, “We don’t have enough information to comment yet.”
The Los Angeles Fire Department told PEOPLE the accident caused a ‘structural compromise’ and a ‘violent fire’ in the one-story home, adding that the driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. No other injuries were reported.
Heche would be intubated but expected to live, TMZ reported.
Sky5 footage shows Heche appeared to be conscious and communicating with firefighters as she was placed in the ambulance on a stretcher.

“We really had a multi-faceted incident here,” LAFD captain Erik Scott told KTLA. “We had a major traffic accident, we trapped a woman inside, we had [a] car that caught fire, then we had a house that had a major fire and is tagged red. It is at this point destroyed.”

Witnesses told TMZ that Heche first crashed into the garage of an apartment complex before reversing and accelerating, colliding with the neighboring house shortly after.
