Donut recipe

Some recipes are much simpler than they look! Today, we offer you an easy and quick recipe to make your ultra soft and so tasty sugar donuts. Want to wake up your taste buds from the first bite? So why not get started?

Ingredients :

  • 300g flour
  • 10 g fresh baker’s yeast (or 1/2 sachet of dehydrated baker’s yeast)
  • 15g softened butter
  • 12 cl lukewarm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 liter oil for frying
  • Icing sugar

Steps :

1. First, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk, then let it activate while waiting 4 minutes.

2. In the bowl of your food processor, mix the flour, brown sugar, salt and egg. Then pour the milk and knead everything until you get a dough that comes off the sides of the bowl.

3. To finish, add the butter cut into pieces and knead again until the preparation is homogeneous.

4. Film the bowl or cover it with a tea towel, then let the dough rise for 1 hour and a half. Be careful that the place is warm enough and that there is no draft.

5. When it has doubled in volume, degas the dough. To do this, use your fist to squeeze the air out. Cut out about 10 dough pieces, then form 10 balls. With your index finger, form a fairly large hole in the center of each of them, as they will shrink during cooking.

6. Arrange them on a plate covered with baking paper and let them grow again for 30 minutes in the same place.

7. Heat the oil. Dip the donuts as you go. After 4 minutes, turn them over so that they are golden brown. Then place them on absorbent paper. Finally, dust them with icing sugar while they are still warm!
