The red onion quiche offers very special and very pleasant flavors thanks to the red onion which has a more subtle taste than the yellow onion and especially sweeter! We like the sweet/salty side of this recipe, as well as its ease of preparation for a meal on the go.
- 1 puff pastry
- 2 red onions
- 100g cheddar cheese
- 20 cl of liquid cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 C. balsamic vinegar
- Salt pepper
1. To start cooking this delicious quiche, make the express puff pastry by following this recipe . Press it into a pie pan and prick the bottom and edges with a fork.
2. Next, peel and slice the onions, then reduce them in a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Halfway through cooking, drizzle with balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
3. In a separate bowl, whip the liquid cream with the eggs. Add salt and pepper.
4. Arrange the onions and peppers on your pie and pour the liquid mixture over it. Sprinkle with grated cheddar and bake for 20 to 25 minutes in your oven preheated to 200°C.
Your red onion quiche is ready! You can accompany it with a green salad for example.
