Scotch eggs

Scotch eggs (or Scotch eggs) are a British specialty that can be eaten both hot during a meal or brunch and cold during a picnic, for example. They are simply eggs wrapped in sausage meat which are then breaded and then fried. What a delight !

Ingredients :

  • 4 eggs (+ 1 for the breadcrumbs)
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 50g flour
  • 300g sausage meat
  • 2 tbsp. parsley
  • 1 C. mustard
  • A pinch of garlic powder
  • Frying oil

Steps :

1. To start, cook your eggs so that they become hard or soft depending on your preference.

2. Then, scale them delicately.

3. Now prepare your sausage meat. To do this, mix it with the chopped parsley, garlic powder, mustard, salt and pepper, then divide the stuffing into 4 equal parts.

4. Roll the eggs in the flour, then wrap each egg in the sausage meat. To help you, spread the sausage meat upstream, place the egg in the center and fold the edges.

5. Roll the eggs again with the stuffing in the flour. After that, dip them in the beaten egg, then in the breadcrumbs.

6. Cook everything in a sauté pan with hot oil for about 4 to 5 minutes until the stuffing is cooked and the breadcrumbs are golden.

Place your Scotch eggs as you go on absorbent paper. You can eat them whenever you want!
